National Academies of Practice

Founded in 1981, the National Academies of Practice is an organization devoted to promoting quality health care through interdisciplinary practice, education, and research. Membership in the NAP is contingent upon election as a Distinguished Practitioner or Scholar in one of ten health care academies representing varying professions.

Distinguished Practitioners have spent a significant portion of their professional careers in direct delivery of care to patients.
