Tuition & Fees

The Institute for Clinical Social Work is committed to providing its students with an affordable education. Tuition and cost of attendance information for each program is detailed below.


Doctoral Programs

Full-Time (minimum of 8 credit hours per semester):
$20,000 per year

Part-Time (minimum of 4 credit hours per semester):
$2,200 per course

Advance Standing (all coursework completed):
$4,500 per year

  • 86 credit hours are required to complete the degree: 74 credits of classroom instruction and 12 credits of clinical practicum consultations and case presentations.
  • These 86 credit hours include 74 hours of classroom instruction and 6 years of clinical practicum consultations and case presentations.
  • Tuition rates effective Fall 2017.

Master’s Program

Full-Time (minimum of 13 credit hours per semester):
$28,300 per year

Part-Time (minimum of 6 credit hours per semester):
$3,400 per course

  • 60 credit hours are required to complete the degree.
  • These 60 credit hours include 1,000 hours of clinical training.
  • Tuition rates effective Fall 2017.

Advanced Clinical Practice

$2,200 per course

  • 18 Classroom Courses (36 credit hours)
  • 4 Clinical Practicum (each CP is considered a course), 1 Case Presentation
  • Tuition rates effective Fall 2017.

Student at Large

$2,200 per course

Credits are applied to the Doctoral Program when participants matriculate. Participants are not eligible for financial aid.


Cost of Attendance

The following table details the estimated cost of attendance by program per year: please keep in mind that these figures are estimates based on meeting financial aid eligibility and that actual figures will vary.

Tuition costs for the academic-year 2017-2018 are based on a 1% increase for Ph.D. students and a 2.9% increase for MA students over the prior academic-year, which is equal to or less than similar institutions of higher learning, which have announced increases ranging from 2% to 10%.
