Julie Ross, PhD, retired in 2007 after working as an elementary school social worker at a public school and maintaining a general private practice. Now “rolling in a wheelchair,” Dr Ross enjoys reading and other types of retirement activities. In addition, she mentors young adults transitioning from High School to employment. She lives in Georgetown Texas. Her dissertation, “The Experience of Mother at the Crossroads of Self and School” (2004), is only available at ICSW. This mother who spends a lot of time and effort advocating for her child at his school cannot wait to read this next week while I’m at ICSW!
