What does it mean to be “therapeutic”? What are the unique characteristics and attitudes that shape a therapeutic experience, whether it be a single meeting or a longer term clinical process? This series, using clinical theory in combination with personal and case examples from small panels of ICSW faculty and doctoral students, will explore the fundamentals of the therapeutic attitude. The objective of the series is to deepen the clinician’s reflectivity and self-awareness in his/her work.
There will be nine consecutive weekly sessions: Freedom, Curiosity, Courage, Imagination, Authenticity, Faith, Listening, Empathy, Play. Sessions can be attended and purchased singly, or as an entire series.
