Announcing the
Carol S. Goldbaum Scholarship Fund
The Institute for Clinical Social Work is pleased to announce the new Carol S. Goldbaum Scholarship, which will support first- or second-year master’s students who are majoring in clinical social work and psychotherapy, and who are interested in working in underserved inner-city communities.
Dr. Goldbaum, a licensed clinical social worker received her PhD from the Crown School of Social Work (formerly Jane Adams School of School of Social Work), is a current member of the ICSW Board of Trustees. Throughout her career, Dr. Goldbaum has held numerous appointments, including clinical professor at the Crown School of Social Work, executive director of the Josselyn Center, and director of social work at Michael Reese Hospital.
Throughout Dr Goldbaum’s career she has received numerous awards, including a lifetime achievement award from the National Association of Social Workers. In her role on the board of trustees, Dr. Goldbaum has worked relentlessly to increase awareness of ICSW’s academic programs and committed herself to expanding the number of donors supporting ICSW students through scholarships. She is a staunch advocate of community mental health and has led a life of commitment to increasing access to quality psychotherapy in underserved communities throughout Chicago.
