Ida Roldán, PhD., LCSW

Ida Roldán, PhD., LCSW is a licensed clinical social worker and psychoanalyst.  She is Dean Emerita at the Institute for Clinical Social Work in Chicago.  Dr. Roldán received her doctorate in philosophy in clinical social work from the Institute for Clinical Social Work, a master’s in social work from the University of Illinois Chicago and is a graduate of the National Training Program for Contemporary Psychoanalysis in New York. She has held numerous professional positions including faculty at the Institute for Clinical Social Work, Associate Director at Fillmore Center for Human Services, Therapist and Clinical Supervisor at Scholarship and Guidance Association, Clinical Consultant at Casa Central, Pedro Albizu Campos Alternative High School, Cathedral Counseling Center, BUILD, RUSH Medical Center,  Depth Counseling Services, and Co-Chair of the Board of Expanded Mental Health Services of Chicago.  Dr. Roldán has published in the areas of HIV/AIDS and mentoring in qualitative research.  She has presented in national and international conferences on topics of colonization, immigration, and the impact of the social/political on oppressed populations.
