Warren “Jay” Pires, B.A, M.S
Jay Pires began his PhD at ICSW in 2021 and is now an advanced-standing student. His dissertation will explore moral injury in family medicine residents. The topic stems from his work as faculty in a family medicine residency at a Federally Qualified Health Center in New York City. Jay is also faculty on the Addiction Fellowship program and a mental health clinician at the same agency. Working with underserved populations, Jay enjoys the messy junction of social determinants, trauma, and neurosis.
