The Elisabeth Jacob’s scholarship is designed to support promising students who are dedicated to working with families challenged by poverty, immigration, or trauma.

Up to $3,000 per year

Only third year PH.D. students are eligible.

This is a one year scholarship.

Elisabeth Jacobs Scholarship

Requirements and limits:

  1. Nomination: Must be nominated by an ICSW faculty member.

  2. Academic Standing: Full-time student who has successfully completed two years of doctoral studies and demonstrated academic excellence.

  3. Financial Standing: Student must be in good academic and financial standing.

  4. Financial Need: Must demonstrate financial need by submitting a FAFSA application. (Note: Specific personal information from the FAFSA will not be shared with the committee.)

  5. Focus: Must work with families challenged by poverty and/or immigration.

  6. Duration: This is a one-year scholarship.

  7. Integrity: AI-generated essays will be disqualified from receiving an award.
