This scholarship is designed to support students navigating a career change who are dedicated to making a meaningful impact on vulnerable populations through their clinical work at ICSW.

$2,500 per semester

Only for incoming, new MA or Ph.D. students
or mid-year start Ph.D. Students

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Admissions Status: Must be fully admitted into the M.A. or Ph.D. program.

  • Financial Aid: Must submit a FAFSA application.

  • Academic/Financial Standing: Returning students must be in good academic and financial standing.

  • Faculty Recommendation: Returning students must provide one letter of recommendation from an ICSW faculty member.

  • Personal Statement: Submit a 900–1200-word personal statement (Arial, 12-point font) addressing:

    • Current financial need.

    • Your career change journey.

    • The impact you plan to make with vulnerable populations upon completion of your degree.

    • Any other relevant information to assist the committee in their decision.

  • Scholarship Duration: This is a one-semester scholarship.

Guidelines:

  • Submit a separate, unique, and compelling argument for each scholarship request.

  • Review the requirements for each scholarship to ensure all required documents are submitted.

  • Note: AI-generated essays will be disqualified from receiving an award.
