Advisory Committee
William D. Gieseke, Ph.D., Director
William Gieseke is the Executive Director and a founding member of the Palombo Center Advisory Committee. He is a Core Faculty member at the Institute for Clinical Social Work and has led many of the Palombo Center Conferences. He is a 2006 graduate of the Institute for Clinical Social Work. In addition, he is on the faculty of the Chicago Psychoanalytic Institute, where he graduated from the Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Training Program.
Committee Members
Amy Groessl, a licensed clinical social worker, is based in Chicago and provides psychotherapy, clinical supervision, and consultation through her private practice. She is also a Core Faculty member at the Institute for Clinical Social Work, where she teaches courses on qualitative research, trauma, attachment theory, and neuropsychology.

Sue Terrell, PhD, is a psychotherapist currently practicing in the metro Chicago area. Her clinical expertise is in working with children and adolescents, as well as treating adults with early childhood trauma. She taught Psychodynamic Theory at The Institute for Clinical Social Work and was on faculty at The Center for Religion and Psychotherapy of Chicago, where she taught Human Development. She is a supervisor and consultant for psychodynamically-informed clinicians. She is also the president of the Board for the North River Expanded Mental Health Services Program Governing Commission.
