Here at ICSW we offer a range of scholarship opportunities, both merit and need based, for those students who could use some financial assistance in their educational journey.
Dr. Joan Berzoff Social Services Scholarship
Eligibility: New and returning MA or PhD students
Requires FAFSA, proof of volunteer/professional service, and a personal statement regarding work with vulnerable populations in social service organizations.

Access, Equity & Opportunity Scholarship
Eligibility: Incoming, new MA or PhD students
A need-based scholarship requiring FAFSA and a personal statement explaining financial need and interest in marginalized communities. Distance students receive special consideration.

Eligibility: Third year PhD students
Supports promising students working with families challenged by poverty, immigration, or trauma. Requires faculty nomination, excellent academic standing, and FAFSA.

Awarded to applicants expressing plans and willingness to work with vulnerable populations. Requires a personal statement detailing this commitment.

Supports students from under-represented racial minority groups (priority to BIPOC students). Requires an internship placement in an ethnic or racially under-represented community.
